Learn Something New Everyday

Did you know that once you create a profile on Match, they will not let you delete it? I spent 30 minutes the other day trying to get the site to permanently purge my account. Finally, I just put the profile on "hide" and cancelled. I then get an email from them saying that my profile will be active for one year, and in the event there is no activity on my end, only then will they delete the profile.

So, when an ad on television for Match boasts their membership numbers, they are also including profiles waiting to be deleted.

Dickholes.

  1. I've noticed another common trait in single sites.

When I'm NOT a paying member, I get lots of views and emails from 25 year old hotties.

Yeah right. Because I'm all that and a bag of chips. Like I would have anything in common with some young trollop who can't even name the Beatles.

But, of course, I can't reply to them unless I subscribe.

Once I subscribe, I only get viewed and emailed by Madeline Albright and Bella Abzug.

    Weird, huh?

  2. Ugh! I was on match.com for awhile and it was IMPOSSIBLE to get rid of my profile. I also found it exceptionally hard to get them to stop charging me for my membership after I tried to cancel it a half dozen times...douschebags.

  3. I won't give you advice since I am in the same boat (walls everywhere). All I got are hugs to send your way.
