Depressing...

Did you know that welders at the Harley plant make only a dollar less than a Registered Nurse's starting salary at my hospital??

Making motorcycles vs. Saving Lives

The two are somewhat related as motorcycle enthusiasts are healthcare's biggest source of job security, not to mention the most reliable source of organ donors.

But I'm fairly confident working at the Harley plant would be less stressful.

I think I am going to go have my brother teach me to weld now...

Both professions are considered skilled. So the pay can be justified. But I am willing to bet your medical benefits are way better. :)

Welcome back!

The level of loyalty is a bit different.

Walk through a Harley plant and you will see A LOT of Harley Davidson tatoos.

How many nurses are SO ENTHUSIASTIC aboout where they work that they tatoo the hospital (or Professional Clinic, or LipoDissolve Center, etc) logo on their calves or shoulders?

I know a nurse who has a monkey with a nurse's hat tattooed on her butt.
