I ran into a friend as I was walking out of work one morning, and we got on the subject on New Year's Eve and our plans, which neither of us had. We had a nostalgic moment when we reflected on that one time we rung in the new year together.
As of now, I don't have any plans. I've been asking around for ideas, but nothing has really made my socks go up and down. Oh sure, I could do what I did last year...stay at home and wait for my mother to drunk dial me.
I don't know what I want to do, but I would like to do something that won't result with me barfing in my rock garden again. The Melting Pot was fun, but damn expensive.
What are you guys doing?

I usually work but this year the Deist and I are going for a two nighter in Clear Lake. They've got 4 live bands and a dinner buffet for $500. Not cheap but for a one time deal its not all that bad.
I usually go for trying to get myself arrested so I can hang out in te drunk tank and watch the entertainment.
Other than that. Not sure. KC seems to suffer from a distinct lack of actual fun thing to do for those of us under 55 and about 25.
Im staying home. Living so close to Westport I always have to run the gauntlet of sobriety checks in the area. I dont drink but I hate waiting in the lines while the cops look for drunks. I think Ill just live vicariously through you and a few others. So be sure and do something scandalous. And be safe.
Trans Siberian Orchestra is playing a New Years Eve show, starting at 9:30. While they come through for the holidays every year, they haven't been in Cleveland on NYE. I figured they would do something fun, so I got tickets for that, reservations at a hotel across the street from the arena, and reservations for dinner at a cajun joint also across the street.
Got no plans, don't plan on having any plans.
I'll be staying home and masturbating.
the question is can you text with your other hand.
We'll be at the Moose until we can stand it no more. (Or until 10 p.m., when they kick us out for their "private party" one of the owners of KC Hopps always throws there every year for his closest friends. The ones that'll show up anymore, anyway. Last year was a dud. Maybe it's cuz he started CHARGING them a fee to get in for the "free" drinks and appetizers. Jerk.) After we're done there, we'll go home, watch t.v., drink some champagne, and head to bed. It's *very* exciting stuff, eh?
Happy new year, sista!
