The Border Wars is over. Thank God. Getting to work last night was a challenge as I-70 was clogged more than Mangino's arteries.
But speaking of Mangina...I keep hearing these references to cupcakes. Because it is mentioned so often, I figure there has to be a story behind it. No one I work with could figure it out either.
So...what's the story with the cupcakes???

Is that what he calls his man-boobs? His "little cupcakes"?
I think its an insult about his size. Sort of like saying he is so fat if he cuts himself shaving gravy comes out. Or he is so fat he has a fivehead, instead of a forehead.
Um, MY story with cupcakes is that they are generally very yummy, and I love eating them.
I don't know of any other story. So I'm not much help, I'm afraid. (But you said "cupcakes" and so I had to stop and comment. It's just the kind of mood I'm in today, it seems...)
Nobody's gonna read this at this point, but the "cupcake" reference is to all the easy games against 3rd rate opponents on KU's schedule. Mangino is quite good at polishing off cupcakes it seems.
